About

In case you were wondering what this blog is about, we’re no longer on traveling bicycles. We did that already, and it was awesome. We changed the storyline – we’re now two goofs from NYC living in Budapest, Hungary, doing our best to document our cultural ignorance and arrogance, and maybe impart a little wisdom along the way.

We are two 30-somethings trading the Big Apple for the Big Northwest for a few months.  We will be traveling more than 2,200 miles by bicycle through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California from August to October 2011.

Dustin is a freelance photo assistant, bike mechanic, avid cyclist, and dog-whisperer. Although he currently resides in Brooklyn, Dustin is Texas-bred, which means he loves bbq, beer, swimming holes, and front porches. He can make a mean plate of migas.

Anne has ten years of experience working in the arts as a writer, editor, and fundraiser.  She received her master’s in public administration from NYU, while working at its world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts.  Although she will miss clothes and makeup while on this tour,  Anne is no girlie-girl.  She has survived malaria in Ghana, runs half-marathons, and prides herself on her willingness to eat anything.
